Leslie Lovell

Hi, I'm Leslie and I'm a photographer, abstract expressionist painter, ceramicist, and mixed media artist living in Savannah, Georgia. My style is organic and is often inspired by found objects or snippets from my photography which sparks a story or memory. My work is highly textural using different mediums to convey a particular mood. I love to work with hot wax medium, known as encaustic painting, incorporating found objects and image transfers from my photography which creates dreamy multi-layered depictions on repurposed woods. Through another medium of oil and cold wax I build layers of colors which deliver multi-dimensional stories.
